Samoa takes the Crown for Miss Pacific Islands 2019

Miss Samoa Fonoifafo McFarland-Seumanu has been crowned Miss Pacific Islands 2019 at the pageant finale in Papua New Guinea last night.
Ms McFarland-Seumanu also won the major categories of Best Traditional Wear and Best Interview at the regional event.

Samoa had not secured a win for the Miss Pacific Islands in 5 years since Latafale Auvaa was crowned in 2014.
Samoa’s Minister of Tourism Afioga Salā Fata Risati Pinati had travelled with members of the Samoa Tourism Authority and other supporters to Papua New Guinea for the pageant.

The participation of Miss Samoa to the regional event is coordinated and managed this year by the offical committee of Manaia Events led by Leiataualesa Jerry Brunt.

Miss Solomon Islands Gladys Habu took the 1st Runner Up while Lucy Maino of PNG won 2nd Runner up.  The 3rd Runner up was Miss Tahiti, Herevai Hoat and 4th Runner up,  Miss Tonga, Yehenara Soukop.
