GOVT PRESS SECRETARIAT; Over $100,000 tala not including hospital beds, pillows and sheets have been donated by the Methodist Church of Samoa to assist Government with its campaign to eradicate measles.

The donations of $107,362.33; 100 hospital beds; 200 pillows; 200 pillow cases; 200 bed sheets and 200 bathing towels was presented Monday morning by the Church President, Susuga Faulalo Leti Paaga to the Minister of Health, Faimalotoa Kika Stowers.

“The Government can only say thank you very much to the Methodist Church for this huge donation,” said Faimalotoa.

“The Church has made multiple donations to Government especially for the Ministry of Health and we are grateful”.

“Thank you for your prayers and may God bless you all.”

Faimalotoa said the donations will be distributed to all the District Hospitals in both Upolu and Savaii as well as the main hospital at Motootua.

“May God reward the Church abundantly for this assistance which will be used by patients at hospitals around the country.”

The Catholic Church have also provided humanitarian assistance for families affected through Caritas Samoa with the Church of Latter Saints also have presented assistance to Government.
