Manu Samoa Head Coach Vaovasamanaia Seilala Mapasua has named eight debutants in his 23-man squad set to play the first World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup game against Australia A in Fiji this Saturday 2nd July 2022.
Mapasua has named 8 debutants, who all debut for Samoa in the starting lineup that will be captained by Michael Alaalatoa.
Prop Aki Seiuli and loose forward Fritz Lee are joined by Moana Pasefika stars, Ereatara Enari, Lolagi Visinia and Danny Toala, also set to debut for the Manu in the starting 15.
Mapasua has a mixture of experience and young talent in the squad.
Chris Vui, D’Angelo Leilua and Alamanda Motuga will all be starting, while veteran and former Manu Samoa Captain Jack Lam is named on the bench alongside Theodor McFarland, Henry Time-Stowers and Henry Taefu.

Manu Samoa’s first game is against Australia A this weekend.
The message to the world that Samoa’s borders will be re-opening on the 1st of August can be seen on Manu Samoa Captain Michael Alaalatoa’s jersey at the captain’s photo shoot.
Samoa will also be taking on Tonga and then Fiji at the World Rugby Pacific Nations Cup.
Manu Samoa’s first game of the year against Australia A on Saturday 2nd July 2022 kicks off at 2pm Samoan time, (1pm ³New Zealand time).
