Happy Thursday Saints.
1Corinthans 14:20 “BROTHERS AND SISTERS, DO NOT BE CHILDREN IN YOUR THINKING; YET IN EVIL BE INFANTS, BUT IN YOUR THINKING BE MATURE.”
We’ve been looking at the fact that God desires for us to grow and mature as Christians.
He doesn’t want us to remain spiritual infants. He even wants us to mature in the way we think. As you know, our thoughts will determine the way we behave. When we think like “CHILDREN” we will behave immaturely. When we think like Christ, we will act more Christ-like.
Spiritual growth is a choice. God can’t make you read your Bible or force you to pray and spend time in His presence. If you decide to do nothing about your spiritual growth and development, then don’t be surprised if you still struggle with the same weaknesses several years from now.
If you don’t make a conscious effort to grow, you won’t. Spiritual growth is deliberate and on purpose. You don’t become Christ-like by accident.
If we don’t make conscious and consistent efforts to grow, we won’t overcome our negative behaviours and attitudes.
Saints, YOU CAN GROW! You can change. You can be a totally different person in a year or two. You can overcome sin, resist temptation, and conquer anything that you were susceptible to doing in the past. Christ has set you free from sin’s power. It no longer has dominion over you. And if you’ll think soberly and maturely – you can overcome anything.
The only thing that can hold you back and prevent you from growing in 2022 is YOU.
Choose to make the most of the year ahead of you. Don’t let anything or anyone hold you back – including you.
Have an awesome day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
