Psalm 39:5
“YOU HAVE MADE MY LIFE NO LONGER THAN THE WIDTH OF MY HAND. MY ENTIRE LIFETIME IS JUST A MOMENT TO YOU; AT BEST, EACH OF US IS BUT A BREATH.”
Happy Wednesday Saints.
As we saw yesterday, compared to eternity, life is short!
Next time you look at your hand, let its width (the size of your little pinky finger to your index finger) remind you of how brief your time on earth really is.
We always think that we’ve got tomorrow. We’ve got tomorrow to right some wrongs; we’ve got tomorrow to make things better, we’ve got tomorrow to let others know that we love them; we’ve got tomorrow to hold them and embrace them; we’ve got tomorrow to ask for forgiveness – and the list goes on.
It’s amazing how we all know that our time on earth will end one day and yet, we still live our lives as though we are going to be here forever.
As we’ve already seen in James 4:14, “YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN TOMORROW.”
The King James Version of Matthew 6:34 says “TAKE THEREFORE NO THOUGHT FOR THE MORROW.”
Tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet but you do have TODAY and you have got RIGHT NOW.
We all have to do what we can to make our time on earth count. Why leave until tomorrow what you can do today?
Today’s a good day to love, pray, give, serve, bless, reconcile, make things right, ask for forgiveness, make peace, hug, embrace, call someone you care about, express your gratitude, share a burden, support, comfort, and encourage.
When’s the last time you told someone you care about that you love them?
Life is like a single breath. Here one day, gone the next. Make this day count and GIVE IT ALL YOU’VE GOT.
God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
