Happy Tuesday Saints.
Galatians 6:2 “CARRY EACH OTHER’S BURDENS AND IN THIS WAY YOU WILL FULFIL THE LAW OF CHRIST.”
As brothers and sisters in Christ, we are supposed to carry each other’s burdens and help one another overcome weaknesses, hardships and trials.
According to Barnes’ Notes on the Bible, “The sense is, that every man has special temptations and easily besetting sins, which constitute a heavy burden. We should aid each other in regard to these, and help one another to overcome them. And so fulfil the law of Christ… The law of Christ would not allow us to reproach the offender, or to taunt him, or to rejoice in his fall.”
People who take a legalistic approach to those who are heavily burdened with sin, only make things heavier for the offenders. Their letter-of-the-law approach won’t help others conquer their situations. But the “LAW OF CHRIST” will.
Jesus said in John 13:34, “A NEW COMMAND I GIVE YOU: LOVE ONE ANOTHER. AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, SO YOU MUST LOVE ONE ANOTHER.”
The LAW OF CHRIST requires us to LOVE ONE ANOTHER and help each other live a victorious Christian life. We are supposed to “pray without ceasing” for one another and support each other with “brotherly love.”
How much stronger would the Body of Christ be if we all sought to fulfil the LAW OF CHRIST and carry each others’ burdens?
Love your brothers and sisters in Christ and help them carry their burdens until they’ve gained their victory.
Have a fabulous day.
God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
