It is wedding season in Samoa, and two love birds tied the knot last Friday 4th December in a beautiful service at Vini Fou EFKS, followed by a reception at the Sheraton Hotel in Apia.
Bronco Gisa Afaese was joined as one in marriage to his beautiful bride, Leota Tautuimoana Victory “Vicky” Leavai; youngest daughter of long serving Member of Parliament, Hon Aeau Peniamina Leavai and the late Mrs Lagi Leavai.

Tamā Faaleagaaga of the bride, Reverend Tasele Tuluauau of the Ekalesia Faalapotopotoga Kerisiano Samoa church at Vini Fou led the church service, while the Tamā Faaleagaaga of the groom Rev Namaia Kofe Tuiletufuga delivered the word of blessing and encouragement.

“Are you both ready to take on the challenges of marriage?”, said Rev Namaia. “There are ups and downs, but in God and with God, you can build the foundation of a lasting marriage”.
The Best Man was Tulitua Milikini and the Maid of Honor was Doctor Folototo Leavai. Bridesmaids included Regina Tuautu, Lagimaina Leavai, Maima Nanai and Jacinta Maua. The groomsmen were Vitale Tulei, Faavae Siaki, Saaga Kofe and Tulimoetoke Gisa.

The guests were blessed with processional songs and hymns during the service, led by the bride’s Leavai family, known for their musical talents.

Lawyer, 2021 election candidate, musician and two-time Samoan representative for golf and tennis; Aeau Tima Leavai led the choir and played the piano for her youngest sibling’s wedding ceremony.
The bride entered the church service during a processional of Ave Maria sung by her elder sister, Amituanai Laumua Duseigneur.

The groomsmen procession was brought in by the Sound of Music’s Climb Every Mountain sung by Lauao Baby Levasa.
Friends and family afterwards celebrated together over an intimate reception in respect of SOE rules, at the Sheraton Hotel in Apia. The bride’s older brother Fuimaono Dr Junior Leavai hosted the reception as the Master of Ceremonies.
