Happy Wednesday Saints.
Colossians 3:16 says, “LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY.”
The Greek word for ‘dwell’ means ‘to dwell in one and influence him for good.’
The Greek word translated ‘richly’ means ‘copiously and abundantly.’
‘Copious’ simply means ‘in large quantities.’
The Apostle Paul is telling the church to let the word of Christ dwell in you abundantly. To get copious amounts – LARGE QUANTITIES OF CHRIST’S WORD – inside your heart.
And he encourages the church to get so full of the word that it INFLUENCES YOU FOR GOOD.
It’s one thing to read the Bible, and it’s another thing to dwell on it so much that it starts to INFLUENCE the way you think, talk and act.
Are you letting God’s Word DWELL IN YOU RICHLY?
Like a glass of water, you can decide how full your glass is. You can pour as little or as much as you want into the glass. Likewise, you decide HOW MUCH WORD you have in you. You decide whether your heart is overflowing abundantly with God’s word or whether it’s empty.
You can also decide what you fill your heart with. You can fill it with negative thoughts that will only weigh you down, or fill it with the hope that comes from God’s Word.
The choice is yours. Get your heart spilling over with God’s life-giving and life-changing Word, and have a fabulous day.
God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
