Lava Hotel Launches Five Day Programme of Activities in Celebration of Samoa’s 60th Independence
Lava Hotel have announced 5 DAYS OF INDEPENDENCE @LAVA HOTEL that runs from Wednesday 31st May to Saturday 4th June.
In a press conference with local media, Lava Director, Pepe Fiaailetoa Christian Fruean announced the activities that aimed to “bring our people together to celebrate and enjoy fantastic food and beverage as well as live entertainment featuring some of the best bands and DJs on the island”.
ON-Fire Band, Iulei Band, DJ Matty, DJ Smokey are some of the names confirmed to be performing at the Lava Hotel.
Performing artists and entertainers, the SPACE
dance crew as well as Tasi and the Ali’is will all feature during the week.
“Throughout challenges imposed by the pandemic, Samoa has remained steadfast and resilient, and
with the government signaling Samoa’s way forward, we stand united, stronger and prepared to
welcome our families and friends, as well as tourists back to our shores,” said Pepe Fiaailetoa Christian Fruean.
“In its first two years of
operations, Lava Hotel has challenged itself to improve service delivery and delight our guests, we are eager to showcase our unique customer experience to the world once borders reopen.”
For the Independence Day celebrations on Wednesday June 1st, Lava Hotel is collaborating with the
Samoa Hotel Association (SHA) and Samoa Tourism Authority (STA) to host the “Waterfront
Independence Day celebration” at Malaefatu park, Beach Road Sogi, explains Fiaailetoa.
“The Independence Day
celebration expects to attract a huge variety of food vendors including the added flexibility to easily walk across the road to the Lava Hotel 1905 Eatery and licensed bar..
“We will also have additional food vendors and free bouncy castles at Lava Hotel to keep the kids entertained.”
Pepe says the Waterfront Independence Day celebration at Malefatu park Sogi is a 1-day
event, however, Lava Hotel has extended its celebrations to the end of the week to further celebrate 60 years of Samoa’s Independence.
