Afioga Motuopuaa Seve Henney Henry Papalii of the FAST Party is well ahead in the Vaisigano 2 by-election, with a margin of 509 votes.
The two-man race was between Motuopuaa and Valasi Luapitofanua, former Minister of Health who ran as an HRPP rep.
This by-election was triggered after Motuopuaa, who originally won the seat as an Independent in August 2025, resigned to formally join the FAST Party.
