Leader of Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi, Hon Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao Fosi Schmidt had secured possibly the largest landslide win of the Samoa General Elections.

The man who looks to be Samoa’s next Prime Minister polled a whopping 770 votes ahead of Faaulusau Rosa Stowers.

Preliminary results had FAST leading in 33 of Samoa’s 51 Electoral Constituencies with HRPP with 12, SUP with 3 and Independents 3.

The final count continues and there will be very little change to the numbers with most of the close-margin Constituencies already counted.

Laaulialemalietoa as the inevitable next Prime Minister of Samoa, has called on Tuilaepa and Fiame to work together for the development and betterment of Samoa.

Thousands of supporters attended the FAST Party Thanksgiving Service at the Apia Park gym to mark the end of general elections on Sunday afternoon.

Laaulialemalietoa called for peace and unity and said he was ready to lead a Government elected by the people, for all the people of Samoa, and not just the FAST party.

“O le faigamalo e filifili e Samoa, e lē na o se faigamalo a le Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi.. O le faigamalo a Samoa atoa.”

Laauli said the 3 pillars of his FAST led Government are to Seek Justice, desire for Love and Walk Humbly with God.

“Saili i le Amiotonu, Naunau i le Alofa ma Savavali ma Le Atua ma le Loto Maualalo..”
