A Judge of the Samoa Lands and Titles Court (LTC) was rushed by ambulance to the Tupua Tamasese Mea’ole (TTM) National Hospital this morning after he collapsed at the Mulinuu Courthouse.
MJCA staff say the LTC judges had just finished their morning devotional prayer, and were about to start a workshop at the Courthouse conference rooms, when the Judge, Afioga Tuloa Fetufou Aiono lost consciousness and collapsed at around 9.30am.
Tuloa passed away less than half an hour later at Motootua hospital from what doctors have described as a “massive heart attack”.
Staff of MJCA say the Judge had a strong pulse, and was breathing when he left Mulinuu.
An LTC Judge accompanied him in the ambulance while other Judges followed in their private vehicles.
Tuloa is a matai from Avano Fasitoo-uta. He was one of seven judges who joined the LTC in December 2019.
This is the second sudden passing of matai from the village of Fasitoo-uta, who are currently mourning the sudden death of lawyer and Samoa Business Hub Legal Manager, Leaupepe Esera Poliko.
