Jesus did the impossible for us and paid the penalty for our sins. As He approached John the Baptist to be water baptised, John said, “BEHOLD THE LAMB OF GOD WHO TAKES AWAY THE SIN OF THE WORLD.” (John 1:29)
No one else could’ve possibly done what Jesus did to save mankind. 2Corinthians 5:21 says that “GOD MADE CHRIST WHO NEVER SINNED, TO BE THE OFFERING FOR OUR SIN, SO THAT WE COULD BE MADE RIGHT WITH GOD THROUGH CHRIST.”
Apart from Jesus, everyone was born in the image of fallen Adam. Jesus was born sinless because He was miraculously conceived by the Holy Spirit. The virgin birth is a crucial part of Jesus’ testimony, and it sets Him apart from other so-called gods and false prophets.
Other religions wrongly proclaim that Jesus was just another prophet. But He wasn’t. He said in John 10:30, “I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.”
We know from the Bible that Jesus is the Word incarnate. That simply means that He is the Word in the flesh. John 1:1 says, “IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE WORD, AND THE WORD WAS WITH GOD, AND THE WORD WAS GOD.” Verse 14 explains that “THE WORD BECAME FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US.”
Jesus’ virgin birth, sinless life, glorious miracles, sacrificial death, and miraculous resurrection, set Him apart from all other false gods and prophets.
Referring to Jesus, Acts 4:12 says, “SALVATION IS FOUND IN NO ONE ELSE, FOR THERE IS NO OTHER NAME UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN TO MANKIND BY WHICH WE MUST BE SAVED.”
The sinless Christ offered Himself for our sins so we could be “MADE RIGHT WITH GOD.” There is no other way for you and me to be saved, except through Jesus.
Take a moment to thank God for the free gift of salvation through Christ. In Him, you are now RIGHT WITH GOD.
