You are loved, treasured, and wanted by your Heavenly Father.
If God the Father didn’t love you, He wouldn’t have sent Jesus.
Romans 5:8 says that “GOD SHOWED HIS GREAT LOVE FOR US BY SENDING CHRIST TO DIE FOR US WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS.”
God is love… GREAT LOVE.
Great love refused to sit by and do nothing about our greatest need. Great love did the impossible to rescue us from sin’s power and sin’s penalty. Great love sent Jesus.
As Christians around the world prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, remember the Father whose GREAT LOVE sent Him here in the first place.
Jesus is the embodiment of God’s love for you. Everything from Jesus’ birth through to His resurrection is a declaration of God’s GREAT LOVE for you.
You don’t have to earn His love – He loves you unconditionally. You don’t have to strive for it – just receive it. You are GREATLY LOVED by God. So let your heart be at peace today.
May the GREAT LOVE that you’ve received from the Lord, be the same love that you give others this Christmas.
