It is fine to be zealous, provided the purpose is good.

Happy Monday Saints.

What are your plans for this week?

Galatians 4:18 says that, “IT IS FINE TO BE ZEALOUS, PROVIDED THE PURPOSE IS GOOD.”

Along with being zealous, it’s also good to be passionate, enthusiastic, devoted, faithful and sincere.

All of the above qualities are excellent traits to have, PROVIDED THE PURPOSE IS GOOD.

You can be zealous for the wrong things. The Apostle Paul knew what it was like to be zealous for a wrong cause. When he was known as Saul, he fervently went about persecuting Christians. He sincerely believed that he was doing the Lord’s work, but just because someone is sincere and passionate – these great qualities don’t make the wrong pursuit right.

There is a lot of talk about finding YOUR passion, but if YOUR passion isn’t God-ordained, Word-directed, Spirit-filled and Love-motivated – then you have to seriously check whether or not you are zealous for a GOOD PURPOSE.

Proverbs 19:21 says, “YOU CAN MAKE MANY PLANS, BUT THE LORD’S PURPOSE WILL PREVAIL.”

It’s time to channel all that positive energy into the one thing that matters more than anything else – A LIFE WITH GOD – Fulfilling His will while being in a close relationship with Him.

Have a great, God-inspired week.

God bless, and lots’a love,
Warren
