As Samoa gets closer to celebrating the festive season one company is already planning ahead of what this Christmas should be for everyone.

Island Rock company will be launching a project called “25 days of bringing the Spirit of Christmas.

In an interview with the owner of Island Rock Company, Tuaopepe Asiata Jerry Wallwork he told the Samoa Global that this was something they have been doing in the past three years.

This year, he said they have decided to take it to the next level.

“In the past years we had to choose between charities and families who are in need to be able to give to,” he said.

“This year Island Rock has decided to do both we will be giving to not only the charities but also the individuals and families who really need help.

“The people who are struggling to get by each day, the people who make a lot of sacrifices just so their families especially their children can survive.

“It’s those people that we want to give to.”

Tuaopepe said it’s getting closer to Christmas people deserve to be happy especially the children.

“That’s what the Christmas season is all about,” he said.

“We are looking at giving to more than two families, charities and individuals a week.

“It doesn’t have to be just organisations we will be giving to the individuals

“There will be a special team that I have to select to identify the much needed families and charities and we want to cover a few every week.

“So we are looking at three different give away every week and so from the 1st to the 25th of December we will start to give away these presents.”

Ask why he decided to do this Tuaopepe went on to say it’s because that is what the spirit of Christmas is all about.

“It’s the spirit of Christmas we just want to give back to the people and most especially we want them to know that there are people who are also thinking about them and want them to have something that they would enjoy.

“We will leave the business aside but we want to do this as people of the community who wants each and every one to enjoy this Christmas.”

Speaking about the launch Tuaopepe said there will be big logos and it is going to be a big launch where all the media will be invited.

The event will be held outside of Island Rock next week Friday evening.
