21 January 2019, Apia Samoa The Samoa Police Service have published the following public notice on their Facebook page:
IMPORTANT PUBLIC NOTICE – ESCAPED PRISONERS
Samoa Police Service (SPS) was notified by the Prisons and Correctional Services (SPCS) regarding two prisoners who have escaped from Tafaigata prisons early in the morning today, Sunday 20th January 2019.
The two escapees are both considered dangerous and not to be approached by members of the public. Both prisoners have previously been convicted on charges of Burglary, Robbery and Armed with a dangerous weapon.
We ask members of the public to contact the Samoa Police on phone number 22222 or contact any police station near you or the Prisons Authority on phone number 23516 if you have any information of their whereabouts.
In support of SPCS the Samoa Police Service wishes to thank members of the public for their ongoing assistance.
