Life is Nothing Without a Relationship with God

Heaven is nothing without the presence of God, and this life is meaningless without a living relationship with Him too.

The word "refuge" is defined as a condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble. Taking refuge in God means we can find complete safety in Him. He is our shield from danger and trouble.

Happy Thursday Saints.

Hebrews 9:28 “CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED ONCE TO BEAR THE SINS OF MANY; AND HE WILL APPEAR A SECOND TIME, NOT TO BEAR SIN, BUT TO BRING SALVATION TO THOSE WHO EAGERLY AWAIT HIM.”

Are you “EAGERLY” waiting for Christ’s return?

As we mature in the things of God and grow spiritually, the things of this world become increasingly insignificant to us. Our desire for God outgrows our desire for anything else.

As God’s children, we wholeheartedly believe Christ will return one day. In John 14:3, Jesus said, “I WILL COME AGAIN AND RECEIVE YOU TO MYSELF, THAT WHERE I AM, THERE YOU MAY BE ALSO.”

It’s our faith in the promise of His return and our love for God that make us EAGER to see Him return in glory.

Genuine faith isn’t satisfied with the mere forgiveness of our sins. Real faith loves God. It desires Christ’s presence.

There’s a difference between those who believe in Christ just to escape hell and those who believe in Him to be reconciled to God. For the latter group of believers, being with God is more important that anything else in life.

For those who are hoping to escape eternal death, they are not EAGER for Christ to return. They just want to be forgiven so that they can continue living a life of sin. And in this case, their faith isn’t in CHRIST at all. It’s simply a convenient belief that permits them to live for themselves instead of God.

Heaven is nothing without the presence of God, and this life is meaningless without a living relationship with Him too.

Let Christ be your treasure. Value His presence more than anything else. May your desire for His return be more significant than any desire for the things of this world.

Have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
