25 August 2019 Papatoetoe Auckland. A crash on Papatoetoe’s Kolmar Rd involving three vehicles has left a Samoan couple expecting their first child in hospital with injuries.

The crash left two cars badly damaged and it’s passengers transferred to Middlemore hospital, while the third vehicle is said to have sped off, failing to stop after allegedly causing the accident.

The parents of the couple said that their children were still in Middlemore hospital tonight and they are praying for their kids recovery.

“They are still in hospital,”

“It’s their first baby so we hope baby is alright”.

The parents posted pictures of the Mazda that their children were in, with a message to express their disappointment in “these drunk drivers”.

A pregnant woman was in this Mazda.

“So so thankful to God our kids are alive…so gutted and angry at these drunk drivers, they also ran away from the scene, you can run but will never have peace”;

“It’s sad cos it’s the innocent people that always get hurt”.

They added that a female passenger in the other vehicle a Subaru Forrester, was also injured and taken to Middlemore.

Tow trucks cleared the roads at about 11.30pm –  almost an hour after the crash on Friday night in South Auckland.
