His Perfect Will Can be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven

Happy Tuesday Saints.

Matthew 6:9-10 “OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN, HALLOWED BE YOUR NAME, YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.”

If this world was exactly the way God wanted it to be, then being conformed by the pattern of this world wouldn’t be a problem for us.

But this world isn’t perfect; it’s broken. Since the fall of mankind, the world has been slowly deteriorating and dying.

As Christians, we have access to an Omnipotent God who can help us overcome the challenges of this world. His perfect will for us can BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

Having God on our side doesn’t mean that we won’t face any challenges or encounter any difficulties. It simply means that we have access to heavenly resources that can strengthen and uphold us when we are faced with the inevitable wrongs that come with living on earth.

And although we face many of the same challenges and difficulties that the rest of the world face, we are never hopeless.

Psalm 46:1 tells us that “GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH, AN EVERPRESENT HELP IN TROUBLE.”

The world wants to break you and shape you into a failure. It wants to fill you with the same hopelessness that surrounds you. It wants you to be fearful and anxious. It wants you to accept its fallen and broken pattern as your own.

But you are a child of God and a citizen of heaven. You are in the world, but not of it. You are the light of the world and an agent of hope. Your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, so wherever you go, you carry His Presence with you. You can pray just like Jesus taught His disciples to pray and ask for God’s will to be done ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN.

You don’t have to accept the world’s way of doing things because you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you to do things GOD’S WAY.
