HEAVY RAIN ADVISORY – FOR ALL OF SAMOA
A weak trough of low pressure to the Northeast lies slow moving over Samoa. The system is forecast to intensify and provide heavy rain with gusty winds and thunderstorms for tonight and tomorrow. Latest weather prediction indicated increased severe weather conditions associated with the aforementioned system towards tonight. This scenario warrants the issuance of the Heavy Rain Advisory as we monitor the development of deteriorating weather condition in the forecast based on current observations available.
Potential Impacts:
Heavy downpours with poor visibility, gusty winds, foggy and slippery roads over mountain passes and ranges, pooling near roadsides and waterways.
