Patrick Fa’apale, born 3 May 1991 has served Samoa grassroots rugby for over 12 years.
An international fly-half who plays for the Vaiala Ulalei Club, Fa’apale made his debut for Samoa in 2014 and was part of the Manu Samoa 15’s squad at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Affectionately known as “Pato” in local rugby circles, Patrick Faapale is one of the most experienced first 5/8s in Samoa and despite his 32 years, he continues to play for his local club and the Taula Vaimauga Union at the provincial level.
Faapale has played 66 HSBC 7s world series matched and clocked up 196 points for Samoa.
The Vaiala Ulalei Sports Club have posted a tribute to the legend.

A loyal and respected individual in the Halls of Vaiala. He has served the Team for years from the junior age groups to the Senior A. Patrick is also a former Manu Samoa 7’s and 15’s player that has represented Samoa with pride.
The young players always look up to Patrick for encouragement, advice and inspiration, as Patrick always leads by example and pride.
A loving family Man that is also true to his faith to his Lord and church.Â
