1Corinthians 15:58 “THEREFORE, MY BELOVED BRETHREN, BE STEADFAST, IMMOVABLE, ALWAYS ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF THE LORD…”
There’s something very comforting and peaceful about having a steadfast heart.
A steadfast heart isn’t easily discouraged. It isn’t easily moved by ever-changing circumstances.
Instead of being on fire for God one day and then lukewarm the next—a steadfast heart is more of a steady and consistent burn.
In Ephesians 3:16, the Apostle Paul prayed that the Lord “MAY STRENGTHEN YOU WITH POWER THROUGH HIS SPIRIT IN YOUR INNER BEING.”
One major part of having a steadfast heart is knowing Who to turn to when the circumstances require you to remain steady and firm.
The Bible tells us to pray and ask the Lord to strengthen us with POWER THROUGH HIS SPIRIT in our inner being. God, the source of life, is the spiritual source of inner strength and power.
By His Spirit, He can instil within you the ability to maintain a steadfast heart, even when you’re facing difficult times.
Things will happen in life that will try to aggravate you and unsettle your heart. They may even cause you to want to quit. But God can give power that is infinitely greater than what you are capable of on your own.
A steadfast heart is totally reliant upon the Lord for endurance. You can’t acquire a steadfast heart on your own. You develop it by cultivating a strong relationship with your steadfast God.
God’s love is steadfast, unchanging, constant and stable. His boundless love is eternal and unwavering. In an ever-changing world, His steadfast love will give you the peace and stability that we all need to have right now.
