Happy Thursday Saints.
On Tuesday, we looked at the importance of giving up foolishness.
Many people have foolish things that they know they need to let go of. They understand deep down in their hearts that certain behaviours and habits are holding them back, but they are unwilling to give them up.
Proverbs 9:1 says “WHOEVER REMAINS STIFF-NECKED AFTER MANY REBUKES, WILL SUDDENLY BE DESTROYED WITHOUT REMEDY.”
Our patient Lord gives us time to learn from our mistakes and make the necessary adjustments. It’s very easy for us to take His patience for granted, and delay letting go of any destructive behaviours.
If we become so stubborn that we are unwilling to correct any destructive behaviours, we will eventually reap a harvest of destruction and suffer the consequences of our own carelessness.
God cares about you. He is committed to your success. But if you are going to reach your full potential, you’re going to have to heed the Lord’s corrections.
Hebrews 12:6 says that “THE LORD CORRECTS THE PEOPLE HE LOVES AND DISCIPLINES THOSE HE CALLS HIS OWN.”
Some parents might leave their children alone in their sins but your Heavenly Father will correct sin in His own children.
Whenever God corrects us, it’s for our own benefit. His correction is not condemnation, it’s an expression of His love. Don’t become stiff-necked and hard of hearing. Receive His correction with meekness and let God help you lay aside everything that may be holding you back in 2021.
Let God correct you and empower you for change. 2021 still has the potential to be the best year you’ve ever had.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
