Happy Wednesday Saints.
The NET Version of Psalm 23:4 says, “EVEN WHEN I MUST WALK THROUGH THE DARKEST VALLEY, I FEAR NO DANGER, FOR YOU ARE WITH ME; YOUR ROD AND YOUR STAFF REASSURE ME.”
Sometimes there is no other way for a shepherd to get the sheep to greener pastures except through the valley. If the sheep are going to continue thriving, then they MUST follow the shepherd all the way through until they get to the other side.
King David knew that if he followed the Lord, it wouldn’t always be easy. He expected the Lord to walk him through some dark valleys, and even though they would’ve been difficult to travel, he was comforted by his Shepherd’s presence.
Who or what is your shepherd in life? Where do you seek help and guidance? Because if God isn’t your shepherd, you’re getting your guidance from someone or something else. And God is the only one who can give you peace of mind while you’re walking through the darkest valleys.
He wants to shepherd you through. He wants to help you learn and grow through the experience so that you can become stronger.
We don’t know how long some valleys will take to WALK THROUGH. We only know that when we MUST walk through them, God will be with us every step of the way.
If you’re currently walking through a valley, let the Lord fill your heart with hope today. Valley-like experiences don’t last forever. Your good Shepherd will get you THROUGH.
May God’s peace guard your heart and mind today. Love and Prayers,
Warren
