GOD WEIGHS THE HEART
Proverbs 21:2 “A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart.”
It’s easy to justify our actions, especially when they align with our own desires or make sense to us.
We often lean on our own understanding, assuming that our motives are pure just because our intentions feel right. But God looks deeper. He weighs the heart—the hidden place of motives, desires, and truth.
Today’s proverb reminds us that appearances can be deceiving.
Outward obedience or goodness means little if the heart isn’t right before God. A generous act done for recognition carries a different weight than one done out of love. A decision made in pride may appear bold, but God knows whether it’s truly wise.
So the question becomes: WHY DO WE DO WHAT WE DO? Is it to please people or to honour God? Is it for our own gain or to serve others?
The Lord isn’t fooled by surface-level righteousness. He searches the depths, and He desires a heart that is surrendered, honest, and aligned with His will.

Let this be our daily prayer—that God would weigh our hearts and purify them, so that all we do, flows from a place of genuine love and obedience.
Prayer:
Father, help me to see myself through Your eyes. Purify my heart and correct my motives. Teach me to seek Your approval more than my own. Shape me into someone who walks in truth and humility. May my actions flow from a heart that honours You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
