Jesus Took the Punishment for our Sins and Died for You and Me

Happy Friday Saints.

Galatians 2:21 “I DO NOT SET ASIDE THE GRACE OF GOD, FOR IF RIGHTEOUSNESS COULD BE GAINED THROUGH THE LAW, CHRIST DIED FOR NOTHING.”

The law cannot give anyone life. It can only condemn those who break it. And we have ALL broken God’s laws, so without Jesus, we are doomed.

Righteousness cannot be GAINED THROUGH THE LAW. If it were humanly possible to keep the entire law, then Jesus wouldn’t have had to die on the cross.

The law condemns all of us to death. Jesus took the punishment for our sins and died on our behalf. And when we, as sinners, place our faith in Him, the law loses its power to condemn us.

2Corinthians 5:21 tells us that, “GOD MADE HIM (JESUS) WHO HAD NO SIN, TO BE SIN FOR US, SO THAT IN HIM (IN CHRIST) WE MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.”

Righteousness cannot be gained through the law because the only acceptable righteousness before God is the righteousness of JESUS.

He died on the cross and took the penalty for our sins so that we MIGHT BECOME THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD. What an amazing, life-changing, eternity-altering exchange. Our sins for Christ’s righteousness.

Whatever you do, DO NOT SET ASIDE THE GRACE OF GOD. Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life. Christ didn’t die in vain – He died to save you! Jesus is God’s grace personified.

Believe in Him and live! Have a wonderful weekend. God bless, and lots’a love,

Warren
