Happy Wednesday Saints.
We saw yesterday that the Lord is “NOT WILLING FOR ANY TO PERISH, BUT ALL TO COME TO REPENTANCE.” 2Peter 3:9.
We know from John 3:16 that the Father sent Jesus because He “SO LOVED THE WORLD.”
And the world consists of all kinds of people. People from different nations and ethnicities; with different religious views and ideologies; black people and white people and every shade of colour in between; strong and weak; all shapes and sizes; straight, gay, lesbian, transgender, bisexual and non-binary; rich and poor; employers, employees, and unemployed; law-abiding citizens and criminals; optimistic and pessimistic; hopeful and anxious; cheerful and depressed – and the list goes on and on.
As vastly different as we all are, we all have a few things in common. Firstly, God loves ALL of us. Secondly, we are ALL spiritually and emotionally broken. Thirdly, Jesus died for ALL of us, and WHOEVER believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. Fourthly, we ALL need God’s saving grace and the gift of salvation. And finally – GOD IS NOT WILLING FOR ANY TO PERISH.
How about you? Are there some people that you wouldn’t mind perishing in hell? Are there people that you don’t want to be saved BY GRACE through faith? Have you pre-judged someone to be unworthy of God’s love and grace when He alone is the righteous judge of us all?
You are the light of the world, and you might be the closest thing that others might ever have to know Christ. Instead of hate and judgement, we should ALL share God’s love and grace.
The same blood that cleanses you of your unrighteousness was shed for everyone else. Be like God, and be unwilling for ANY to perish.
