REMEMBERING WELL, MOVING WISELY
Deuteronomy 32:7 “Remember the days of old; consider the years long past.”
Deuteronomy 32 forms part of the Song of Moses, delivered near the end of Moses’ life as Israel stood on the edge of the Promised Land.
In this song, Moses calls God’s people to look back over their history—to remember the Lord’s faithfulness, their own failures, and the covenant mercy that sustained them. Remembering was meant to anchor Israel’s future obedience, not in nostalgia, but in truth.
As the year draws to a close, we shouldn’t rush past reflection. God calls His people to remember—not to dwell in regret, but to discern His faithfulness. Every step of 2025, whether joyful or heavy, has been walked in His sight.
Remembering well helps us move wisely. When we pause to recall how God has sustained us, corrected us, and carried us, we gain clarity for the road ahead. Reflection becomes fuel for faith.
Before planning for 2026, take a moment today to thank God for all that He has done for you this year. Ponder on the lessons learned. Acknowledge the grace received. Gratitude prepares the heart for growth.
Prayer:
Faithful Father, thank You for walking with me through this year. Help me remember Your goodness clearly, so I may step into the future with wisdom and humility. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a great week. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
