Psalm 63:8
“MY WHOLE BEING FOLLOWS HARD AFTER YOU AND CLINGS CLOSELY TO YOU; YOUR RIGHT HAND UPHOLDS ME.”
Happy Monday Saints.
The Hebrew word translated “FOLLOWS HARD” is “dabaq.” It means, “to cling; to follow closely; to catch by pursuit; to pursue hard; to fasten together; to stay with.”
It’s not a casual, meaningless search – it’s a strong longing and hard pursuit after GOD.
In Matthew 6:33 Jesus said to “SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.”
Would those who know you well describe you as someone who FOLLOWS HARD AFTER GOD? Or one who SEEKS HIM FIRST above all else?
Sometimes when people try to motivate one another in the gym, they say, “GO HARD OR GO HOME.” In saying that, they’re encouraging one another to put 100% effort into their training and to train at their absolute best.
I encourage you to GO HARD AFTER GOD this week. To pursue Him with ALL YOU’VE GOT. To lay aside the flesh’s preference to meander through life and hope that somehow, you’ll miraculously stumble across all that God has for you.
No, it’s time to GO HARD! And when you do, God will reach out His right hand and UPHOLD YOU.
FOLLOW HARD AFTER GOD and have an awesome week.
God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
