Happy Friday Saints.

Philippians 3:13 “BROTHERS AND SISTERS, I KNOW THAT I STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO. BUT THERE IS ONE THING I DO: I FORGET WHAT IS IN THE PAST AND TRY AS HARD AS I CAN TO REACH THE GOAL BEFORE ME.”

You have complete control over how often you think about your past. You control what kind of influence your past will have on your present and your future.

You determine whether or not the mistakes of your past will hold you back, and whether or not they’ll prevent you from fulfilling your destiny. On that note, you also control how long you feel sorry for yourself after someone else has done you wrong.

Being stuck in the past is a choice. Forgetting the past and moving forward is also a choice.

The past doesn’t have to hold you back. If you really want to, you can change your preoccupation with the past and put all your focus into moving forward.

Instead of fixing your eyes on the past, focus on what you need to do to raise yourself up and improve your circumstances.

If the pains of the past have been caused by others, YOU STILL HAVE A CHOICE. You can choose to forgive them. You can choose to move on. You can choose to let go of any bitterness and resentment. You can choose to be merciful and kind.

Saints, the only power and influence that the past has over you in the present, is the power you enable it to have. Only you can let it hold you back.

Even if you “HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO,” the journey forward is not impossible. With the Lord’s guidance and help, you can live free from the self-sabotaging restraints of the past and reach forward to a better and brighter future.

Have a great weekend. Continue to take control and keep moving forward. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
