17 September 2019 Mulinuu Samoa. Five men appeared before Justice Leilani Tuala-Warren yesterday morning for allegedly assaulting a man who is facing charges in relation to the alleged rape of their sister.
Harry Mapu Atonio of Mulifanua is facing charges for allegedly raping a woman earlier this year. He was out on bail and was told to stay away from the village of the victim.
All five men are charged with Grevious Bodily Harm (GBH) but only one of them pleaded not guilty, while the other four men requested time to consult with their lawyers.
Legal counsel Mr. V Lei Sam entered a not guilty plea on behalf of his client.
They will appear on the 23rd of September 2019 to enter pleas.
