An earthquake of magnitude 5 on the Richter scale was felt in Samoa at 7:26am on Thursday 30th March 2023.
The Samoa Meteorological Services records the earthquake as being 10km in depth, at a distance of 182.04 km South West of Samoa.
“There is NO TSUNAMI threat from this earthquake.”
According to the US Geological Survey centre, there have been two earthquakes near Samoa in the past 7 days, and 22 in the past 365 days.
Six days ago an earthquake 4.5M was felt 10km in depth and 132km South of Samoa.
