Samoa’s newest political party continues their outreach programme with a visit to Mapuifagalele, taking food and other basic need supplies for the elderly residents.

The Faatuatua i Le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) party leader Laaulialemalietoa Leuatea Polataivao Schmid says it is not what we do or how much we give, but the love that we are able to share.

Laauli quotes Mother Theresa in a social media post, “It’s not about how much you do, but how much LOVE you put into what you do that counts.” ~ Mother Teresa.

A notably fast-growing social media presence of the new party shares much of their outreach programs in the community.

“FAST Party’s visit to our Sisters of the Poor, lending a giving hand for our “young residents” at the Home of the Age in Mapuifagalele”.

“It was a pleasure to spend time with them, we took with us a supply of goods and warm hugs”.

“Thank you also to our Sisters of the Poor for their amazing efforts in taking care of our aged citizens. Faamanuia le Atua”.

Residents of Mapuifagalele happy to receive their supplies.

FAST also visited the Samoa Victim Support Group (SVSG) Campus last month and donated a variety of food, other supplies and $500 tala to help Siliniu Lina Chang and her team housing close to 90 children who have been abused within their own families and homes.

Talamua Media had reported the leader of FAST, Laaulialemalietoa encouraging the children during that visit.. “You are the future of the country, and this is not the end of the world for you,” he told the campus residents.

Another part of the social media awareness has been the sale of FAST merchandise including t-shirts and caps, available online via the party’s website and Facebook page.

FAST have recently announced a coalition approach with SNDP in the lead up to the General  Elections scheduled for 9 April 2021.
