Happy Friday Saints.
James 1:3-4 “YOU KNOW THAT WHEN YOUR FAITH IS TESTED, YOU LEARN TO BE PATIENT IN SUFFERING, IF YOU LET THAT PATIENCE WORK IN YOU, THE END RESULT WILL BE GOOD. YOU WILL BE MATURE AND COMPLETE. YOU WILL BE ALL THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE.”
As we saw yesterday, The Lord isn’t just interested in what He can do through you, He is also committed to WHO YOU ARE BECOMING!
The trials and hardships that Joseph faced helped him become the man and leader that God needed him to be.
Today’s passage says that the testing of your faith will help you LEARN TO BE PATIENT IN SUFFERING.
Anyone can be patient when there isn’t any suffering but can you remain patient when your faith is being tested and your circumstances aren’t improving?
Can you still trust God after being betrayed, sold into slavery, falsely accused and thrown into prison? Can you still hold on to your God-given dreams when things look like they’re getting worse?
Being patient and trusting God in the middle of adversity isn’t easy but when you know that it’s strengthening your character and reinforcing your commitment to the Lord, the truth will help you endure it and overcome it.
Who you become as a result of being tested is up to you. Choose your response wisely and you can become MATURE AND COMPLETE. You can become ALL THAT GOD WANTS YOU TO BE.
God bless and have a wonderful weekend. Lots’a love,
Warren
