Happy Tuesday Saints.
The Contemporary English Version of Ecclesiastes 2:24 says, “THE BEST THING WE CAN DO IS TO ENJOY EATING, DRINKING AND WORKING. I BELIEVE THESE ARE GOD’S GIFTS TO US.”
Joy is not a sin. Laughing and having a good time aren’t either. As we saw yesterday, there is a time to laugh.
When was the last time you had a good laugh? The kind of laugh where you don’t care how ghastly your face might look because you just can’t hold your laughter in.
Proverbs 15:13 says that, “A JOYFUL HEART MAKES A CHEERFUL COUNTENANCE, BUT SORROW OF THE HEART CRUSHES THE SPIRIT.”
According to the Mayo Clinic, laughter can improve your immune system, relieve pain, improve your mood, relieve stress, and soothe tension.
In an article titled “Stress relief from laughter? It’s no joke.” The Mayo Clinic reports that “Laughter may ease pain by causing the body to produce its own natural painkillers.”
So there it is; laughing is good for you. It’s good for your mental and physical well-being.
Enjoying life is “GOD’S GIFT TO US.” Eat, drink, and work with joy. Whatever you do this festive season, don’t eat and drink in misery. Do yourself some good. Count your blessings, be positive, and find things to laugh about, or better yet – find someone to laugh with.
Have a joy-filled day.
God bless, and lots’a love, Warren
