Happy Thursday Saints.

Romans 6:4 “WE THEREFORE WERE BURIED WITH HIM THROUGH BAPTISM INTO DEATH, IN ORDER THAT, JUST AS CHRIST WAS RAISED FROM THE DEAD THROUGH THE GLORY OF THE FATHER, WE TOO MAY WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE.”

Easter is also about forgiveness. And for many, the hardest person to forgive is themselves. They find it difficult to let go of their own past mistakes and failures.

Easter is always a good time to remember all that Jesus died for us to have. It’s not a time to mourn. He died so that we might have LIFE.

Your old, dead, and guilty self was BURIED WITH HIM.

Saints, make sure you don’t try to resurrect your past. Don’t relive or rehearse your past in your mind. In Christ, you are completely FORGIVEN.

You can’t change a single second of the past – what’s done is done! But you do need to get over it and move on with your life. The Bible says in 2Corinthians 5:17 that “THE OLD LIFE IS GONE.”

Jesus said in Matthew 26:28 that His blood of the new covenant was “SHED FOR MANY FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS.”

And what a wonderful word “remission” is. In Greek it means – total forgiveness, letting go, removal of sins with no more recollection of it, pardon and freedom.

Why should we recollect what God Himself won’t? The forgiveness of your past comes with freedom from it as well.

Use this Easter to move forward with the rest of your life. Be kind to yourself and let go of your past.

God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
