08 Sept 2020, Apia Samoa. An earthquake of magnitude 5.4 on the Richter scale was felt in Samoa at 9.28pm this evening Tuesday 8th September 2020.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center (PTWC) did not issue a tsunami warning.
Its epicenter was located at 127.2 km from Hihifo with a depth of 10kms.
According to the US Geological Survey (USGS) Samoa has had 11 earthquakes M1.5 or greater in the past 30 days, and 78 in the past 12 months.



This evening’s earthquake is the first to strike near Samoa in the past 7 days.
