Draw Near To God And Be Blessed

"Being close to the Lord doesn't have to be a one-time or occasional event - it can be a lifestyle."

Happy Thursday Saints.

Yesterday, we ended with the thought of not letting anyone keep you from drawing near to God.

Hebrews 10:22 says, “LET US DRAW NEAR TO GOD WITH A SINCERE HEART AND WITH THE FULL ASSURANCE THAT FAITH BRINGS.”

The full assurance that faith brings results from our FAITH IN GOD. It’s the result of having confidence in the completed work of Christ upon the cross.

We don’t have to have any doubt of our acceptance before God because we are ACCEPTED IN CHRIST.

We draw near to God in prayer and worship because of Christ’s merits.

All that Jesus accomplished in His life, death, burial, and resurrection was for the purpose of bringing us close to God.

Why would any Christian settle for living a life distant from God?

Matthew Henry’s Commentary on Hebrews 10:22 states, “…His death is to us the way of life, and to those who believe this, He will be precious. They must draw near to God; it would be contempt of Christ, still to keep at a distance.”

Drawing near to God isn’t about responding to an altar call, attending a church meeting, or serving in ministry – drawing near to God is an act of the heart.

You can do it almost anywhere. You can draw near to God in your prayer closet, your car, or your workplace. You can draw near to Him while you’re walking outside, riding on a bus, or while you’re on your way to work.

Christ died to bring you close to God. He did everything required for you to have a living and thriving relationship with God.

Being close to the Lord doesn’t have to be a one-time or occasional event – it can be a lifestyle.

Draw near to God today and be blessed. In Christ, you are fully accepted.

Have a wonderful day.
God bless, and lots’a love, Warren
