Happy Tuesday Saints.
Proverbs 4:23 says to “GUARD YOUR HEART MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE, BECAUSE THE SOURCE OF YOUR LIFE FLOWS FROM IT.”
Did you notice who is responsible for protecting your heart?
As the guardian of your heart, you determine what you allow inside it.
You have the power to keep negative, destructive and toxic thoughts out. And you have the power to let loving, kind and uplifting thoughts in.
Everything flows from what your heart is full of and when you take the time to fill your heart with all kinds of goodness – you and countless others will be blessed by the goodness that overflows out of your mouth.
Don’t let the disappointments of the past fill the hallways of your heart and cast a dark shadow over your future.
Any bitterness, ill-feeling, disappointment, resentment, unforgiveness, pain, sorrow, or grief, need to be recognised and dealt with gracefully. If not, they will spill out of the heart and cause destruction.
Someone once said, “Hurt people, hurt people.” Well, bitter people, angry people, sad people, anxious people, frustrated people, busy people, lonely people, and unhappy people hurt others too. Even well-meaning Christians who haven’t taken the time to get their own hearts right, hurt others too.
These negative emotions must be given time to heal. And once they’ve been dealt with, start filling your heart with all that is good, pure, loving, compassionate and honourable.
In time, your heart will be a wellspring of hope for you and everyone else in your life.
Have a great day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
