Talofa from beautiful Samoa.

Julie and I are here for a three-day Marriage Seminar.

Hebrews 13:4 in the Amplified Bible says, “MARRIAGE IS TO BE HELD IN HONOUR AMONG ALL [THAT IS REGARDED AS SOMETHING OF GREAT VALUE].”

What do you think about Marriage? Whether you are married or single – regardless of your marital status – ALL OF US, every single one of us, must honour God’s institution of marriage.

If we are not careful, our own past experiences with relationships, courtships, and marriages can tarnish our views on marriage. Some people sneer at it and devalue it.

Marriage is honourable! And if you are married, you must honour your union. But whether you are married or single – you must honour other people’s marriages too.

You have to honour WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER. How others view marriage doesn’t change or impact how God views marriage.

Marriage is not a curse. It’s not the ‘ball and chain’ that others claim it to be. It’s not something to look down upon.

When done right and built on sound Biblical doctrine – marriage can be a great blessing.

If you are married – watch out for those who might try to discourage you and prevent you from honouring what you share with your spouse.

If you are single, encourage your friends and family who are married to honour their unions and do all that they can to make their marriages work.

Whatever you do – don’t dishonour or debase what God declares to be honourable.

Marriage is a gift. And it’s a blessing to everyone who wants to enjoy the intimacy, closeness, and devotion that is shared between two people who love God and are in a covenant.

If we all learn to regard marriage as SOMETHING OF GREAT VALUE, then those who are married and many who decide to get married in the future – will receive the love and support they need. TOGETHER – we can build marriages that honour God, enrich our families, and cause future generations to thrive.

Have a fantastic week. God bless, and lots’a love,

Warren
