Happy Tuesday Saints.
Proverbs 11:17 “A MAN WHO IS KIND BENEFITS HIMSELF, BUT A CRUEL MAN HURTS HIMSELF.”
Being cruel and mistreating others has never made anyone feel better. Too often, after someone mistreats us, we want to repay their evil deeds by giving them a taste of their own medicine. But Romans 12:21 says, “DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD.”
The only problem is that the effectiveness and outcomes of doing GOOD can sometimes take years before we see any positive results. And because of this, some think that doing GOOD to those who are doing EVIL is a waste of our time.
Galatians 6:9 encourages us to “NOT BECOME WEARY IN DOING GOOD, FOR AT THE PROPER TIME WE WILL REAP A HARVEST IF WE DO NOT GIVE UP.”
Don’t grow weary in DOING GOOD. Don’t give up on being good and kind to everyone else. Your kindness will benefit you and bring peace to your own soul.
Cruel people are ultimately hurting themselves. There is no rest for their troubled souls, and the longer they mistreat and hurt others, the more they torment themselves.
Walk the high road of love. Do all you can to OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD, and no matter how long it takes, DO NOT GIVE UP. At the proper time, you’ll REAP A HARVEST OF GOOD, and you’ll be glad that you didn’t stop to your enemy’s level of heartless cruelty.
Be kind and have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
