Hebrews 12:3 “CONSIDER HIM WHO ENDURED SUCH OPPOSITION FROM SINNERS, SO THAT YOU WILL NOT GROW WEARY AND LOSE HEART.”
Jesus faced a lot of OPPOSITION while He was here on earth. His assignment wasn’t without hardships.
Why would we expect things to be any different for us? A God-given dream without any OPPOSITION is non-existent. The Apostles faced significant OPPOSITION too, but they relied on the strengthening grace of God and Jesus’ example to carry them through.
Today’s verse tells us to CONSIDER Jesus. If we compare our suffering to His, we would quickly realize that ours pales in comparison. And yet, He ENDURED until His assignment was complete.
Having OPPOSITION doesn’t mean you are outside of the will of God. We live in an imperfect world with an enemy who uses whatever means he can to stop us. And if he can’t stop us, he’ll try to discourage us and make us LOSE HEART.
Don’t be discouraged by the amount of opposition you might face. You’re in good company. The same Spirit that strengthened Jesus and the Apostles to endure opposition- LIVES INSIDE YOU too.
