
The Samoa National Provident Fund will pay out the final 1.5% portion of contribitors’ 2020 dividends from next week Monday 22 March 2021.
As has been the usual practice, contributors will have one month, until Friday 23rd April, to apply and receive dividend pay-outs, otherwise their monies are automatically credited to their contributions.
This 1.5% is the last portion of the 9.1% annual dividend for 30 June 2020, which equates to $64.5 million tala in value. In June 2019, contributors’ declared dividends were also 9.1% and in 2018 it was 10%.
As announced last June, 3% is credited to members’ contributions with 6.1% to be paid out in staggered amounts;
1.1% was paid in cash to members on the 2nd December 2019 amidst the measles epidemic.
2% was paid in cash to members on 1st July 2020.
1.5% was paid in cash to members on 30th November 2020.
1.5% to be paid in cash to members on 22nd March 2021.
A press statement from SNPF confirms this payout will amount to $10.6 million tala.
“All eligible members willing to receive their dividend are urged to visit the following locations from 9am to 4pm:
- SNPF Main Office, Apia – Levels 1, 3 and 4.
- SNPF Vaitele Branch
- SNPF Salelologa Branch.
“All glory, thanksgiving and praise to Almighty God, our Lord Jesus Christ who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us..We wish our beloved Samoa a Happy Easter!” reads the statement from the SNPF Minister, Board and Management.
The SNPF Board is Chaired by the CEO of the Minsitry of Finance and comprises two members for employers, employees, and a church representative.
