Thursday, 4 April 2019 – Apia, Samoa – Digicel Samoa Limited paid out WST$1.29million dividend to local shareholders, reinforcing its obligation to Samoa and SNPF’s contributing members. Since 2012, Digicel has paid back just over WST$11.5million to its local shareholders.
Farid Mohammed, Digicel Samoa CEO handed over the dividend payment to Samoa National Provident Fund (SNPF) CEO, Pauli Prince Suhren and Samoa Life Assurances Corporation (SLAC) CEO, Leiataua Alden Godinet at the Digicel Samoa Headquarters in Apia today.

As a complete communications and entertainment provider, our driving aim is to help create a world where no one gets left behind – and that means sharing our success by ensuring that the benefits go back to the people who have given their support and trust to Digicel. In recent months, Digicel has invested a significant amount in network infrastructure upgrades and was the first telecommunications company to switch on to the Tui Samoa cable. Digicel is also active in the community with various grassroots sponsorships including medical outreach programmes in partnership with National Kidney Foundation, being the major sponsors of the Pacific Games and recently supporting Team Samoa Special Olympics to the World Games.
