09 July 2019, Apia Samoa. Vatau and Samuelu Pousui, from Faga Savaii living in Vaitele are one of the many families earning an income through food stalls at the Apia Park Stadium.

The couple who have two children aged 9 years and 11 months managed to secure a spot at the park through an application process and were elated to have been successful.
“We received 2nd prize at the Samoa Tourism food stall competition during Teuila and I think that helped,” said Vatau.
Having calculated the margins and break-even points for profitability, Samuelu added that the stall costs $1100 for the two weeks of the games.
On the night of the Opening Ceremony they were the first to run out of freshly made BBQd hot dogs.
“We made $900 tala and about $400 of that would have been profit,” said Samuelu.

So if youre at Apia Park watching, come on down to Vatau and Samuelu’s stall and buy yourself a delicious hot dog or yummy BBQ for $10.
You wont be disappointed.
