

The 20% slash in motor vehicle registration costs announced by the Minister of Finance in her Budget Address comes into force today, 01 November 2021.
The Ministry of Police and Prisons, responsible for vehicle registrations have posted the new reduced rates now applicable for all motor vehicles.
Samoa’s Minister of Finance Mulipola Anarosa Ale Molioo announced a 20% slash to costs of several government services as well as water and electricity tariffs, as a way of assisting the nation during the economic hardships of Covid-19.
Service fee reductions of 20% have also been applied to business licenses; national examination fees; Lands and Titles Court fees;
consultation fees at the national hospital; alia licenses; passport fees and charges; as well as building permits.
