Clothe Yourself with Strength and Dignity

Happy Tuesday Saints.

Proverbs 31:25-26 “SHE IS CLOTHED WITH STRENGTH AND DIGNITY, AND SHE LAUGHS WITHOUT FEAR AT THE FUTURE. WHEN SHE SPEAKS HER WORDS ARE WISE, AND SHE GIVES INSTRUCTIONS WITH KINDNESS.” Notice that the honourable woman in Proverbs 31 CLOTHED herself with DIGNITY AND STRENGTH.

Her dignity and strength didn’t come from others. She chose to live a life of honour. As we saw yesterday, nothing will have a greater impact on your relationships than the relationship that you have with yourself. Her dignity comes through in the way she speaks to others. Her wisdom and instructions are imparted WITH KINDNESS.

Our own dignity is a result of having self-respect. Self-respect is the feeling that we get from conducting ourselves honourably. Every time you make a decision that you know you should NOT make, do something you know you should NOT do, or say something that you know you should NOT say, you lose a little self-respect and love yourself a little less. Every decision and action that violates your heart and overrides your conscience chips away at your self-respect. And if you don’t respect yourself, why would others respect you? If you don’t love yourself, don’t expect others to love you.

If you can’t stand your own decisions, or the way you act, or the way you talk – then don’t be surprised if others can’t stand to be around you either. Saints, if you haven’t yet made a conscious decision to do so; clothe yourself with dignity and strength this year. Choose to live with integrity and honour. Your self-respect will greatly impact how you treat others, and your relationships with people will flourish.

Have an awesome day.

God bless and lots’a love, Warren
