Classic Wallabies Run Rugby Clinics in Savaii

Former Wallabies greats Justin Harrison, Morgan Tuirinui, and Lote Tuqiri arrived in Samoa last night from the Bledisloe Cup and went straight into running rugby clinics at Pu’apu’a Primary School, Lano Primary and Mata’aevave College in Savai’i today.
Students from neighbouring schools also participated to make the most of learning from the elite athletes.
Principal of Lano Primary Talalafai Toma Amosa expressed his gratitude for the Classics visiting his school, and for the opportunity for students to showcase their rugby talents,
“I wanted the boys and girls to participate in the rugby clinics hosted by the Classic Wallabies and to understand more about the sport of rugby from Australian players,” Talalafai said.

“As we all know education is not only in the classroom, but also outside through sport. Sport is another form of education where we learn good values and leadership skills to assist our families, countries and all around the world,”
“We like to encourage our female students to get in to sports, and for them to further delevop their leadership talents in our community,”
“It is great to have the Classic Wallabies visit, and we are grateful to be included in their tour and a chance to join in,” Talalafai ended.
The Classics are scheduled to continue their #GoldBlooded tour in Uplou for the next two days, with visits to Samoa Primary School, Marist Mulivai Primary, Samoa College, and Pesega College, just to name a few.
This trip is in partnership with Samoa Rugby Union, Rugby Australia, the Australian Government and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
