Galatians 5:18 “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”
Believers aren’t left alone to navigate life. God Himself dwells within us by His Spirit, guiding, convicting, teaching, and directing us according to His Word.
Paul says, “you are not under the law.” He isn’t rejecting God’s moral standards. He’s reminding us that believers are no longer under the law as a system of condemnation or a means of justification.
WE ARE NOW LED BY THE SPIRIT INTO A LIFE THAT PLEASES GOD FROM THE HEART.
The law commands externally, but the Spirit works internally. This is the difference. The Spirit doesn’t lead us into lawlessness; He leads us into holiness, not through fear and pressure, but through transformed desires and loving obedience.
This is why the Christian life can’t be reduced to rules alone. Christianity is not merely behaviour management; it’s a relationship with God through the indwelling Spirit.
Instead of letting external pressures dictate how we live, we should let the Holy Spirit guide us. True Christ-honouring lives come from walking closely with Him, acting upon His Word, and simply following His lead.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for giving us Your Spirit to lead and guide us. Help us to walk closely with You and respond obediently to Your leading. Shape our hearts so that we desire what honours Christ. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Have a wonderful day. God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
